Description: Learn Spanish at the edge of a tropical rain forest! Our Spanish language school is located in the lush wildlife haven of Monteverde, Costa Rica, and we offer language courses for students of all levels, all year. Study Spanish with other international students in our ideally located, modern, comfortable facilities, situated on the edge of the Monteverde Mountain Rain Forest Reserve.

We offer total immersion Intensive and Super-Intensive Spanish language courses, with native Costa Rican tutors, in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. We also organize volunteer work for those interested. Students come from all over the world and study in small groups.

An extensive optional cultural program is also available, with a large variety of excursions and activities. The school has 17 well-equipped classrooms, a multi-media room, Internet cafe, student cafeteria and extensive gardens. Accommodation is in carefully selected host families, as well as in self-catering studio apartments and hotels. Airport collection is available, if required.

Highlights: The Monteverde Mountain Rain Forest ("Cloud Forest") Reserve is one of the most outstanding wildlife sanctuaries in the tropics. The location is ideal for students who wish to combine the wonders of the rain forest with a first-rate Spanish course. In this unspoilt reserve there are over 100 species of mammals, more than 400 species of birds, 120 species of amphibians and reptiles, an estimated 2,500 plant species, with insect species numbering tens of thousands. At 5,600 feet, the climate is generally cooler than in the Central Valley and at times wet, with temperatures averaging 18-21 degrees Celsius.

A wide range of visits and excursions are offered, from forest canopy "sky walks," rain forest night hikes, white water rafting, Arenal volcano trips and much more! We also provide weekly Salsa/Merengue classes and Costa Rican cookery classes. Courses can be combined with Flamingo Beach and San Joaquín de Flores.
