Description: Our Spanish language school is located in historic and beautiful Coronado, Costa Rica. Study Spanish with other international students in our ideally located school, situated in the spectacular central valley of Costa Rica, just 25 minutes by car from its capital, San Jose, and on the edge of the Braulio Carillo Rain Forest Reserve.

We offer total immersion intensive and super-intensive Spanish language courses, with fully qualified and experienced native Costa Rican tutors, in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Students come from all over the world and are organized into small groups of 4 or fewer. We also organize volunteer work for interested students, including work in the rain forests. An extensive optional cultural program is also available, with a wide range of visits, excursions and activities such as volcano visits, rain forest treks, white-water rafting and much more. We also provide Salsa/Merengue and Costa Rican cookery classes.

The school is located in a former coffee finca and has 10 well-equipped classrooms, a multi-media room, Internet cafe, student cafeteria and extensive gardens. Accommodation is in carefully selected host families, as well as in self-catering studio apartments and hotels. Airport collection is available, if required.

Highlights: Coronado is a small and picturesque old town with warm, friendly people. It is best known for "Las Nubes," the incredible cloud cover; its amazing European-style church, and its world-famous Coronado cheese. Hikers and mountain adventurers come from all over the world to explore the rugged peaks around Coronado.

Costa Rica is a wonderful location in which to learn Spanish, with an incredibly wide variety of landscapes, climates, animals and vegetation. The untouched mountain rain forests, palm-fringed Pacific and Caribbean beaches, reefs, volcanoes and jungles make this a paradise for nature lovers.

This cultural program helps students to explore Costa Rica, enjoy themselves and also learn about life and nature in Costa Rica. It also helps students to meet Costa Ricans and practise the Spanish that they learn on their Spanish course, thus enabling students to learn as much Spanish as possible in the time available to them.
