Learn Arabic in the U.A.E
United Arab Emirates
Dates: Start dates all year round.
Description:
The school is located in the city center, housed in a modern two storey building within easy reach of all facilities, including public transport. Only a few minutes walk, you will find a modern shopping center, bank and local store. The school is a Professional Training Institute which provides quality Arabic language training to people planning to work in this part of the world, it also offers Summer programs for students interested in Arabic. Our small school offers a friendly atmosphere yet professional atomsphere, with 4 air conditioned classrooms, social area and kitchen which the students can use. Students should plan to bring pen, pencils and note pads, the course books will be provided. Other facilities surrounding the school includes a number of gyms and the hotels (Hilton, Intercontinental and Rotana) also offer fitness clubs with weights rooms. Several hotels also offer access to outdoor swimming pools for a small fee and running in the area is a popular way to keep fit.
Highlights:
Al-Ain is located 160km east of Abu Dhabi (about 2 hours by car) on the border between the United Arab Emirates and Oman. Its sister town, Buraimi, is on the Omani side of the border, but visitors can move freely between the two, making this a fine way to get a taste of Oman without the hassle of obtaining a visa. Al-Ain is the main town in the Buraimi Oasis, and the oasis is probably the longest inhabited part of what is now the UAE, with settlements dating back to the 4th millennium BC. In more recent times, Al-Ain was the birthplace of Shaikh Zayed, the current ruler of Abu Dhabi, and he has lavished funds on it. Buraimi has not received the same funds and remains a comfortable provincial town. The resulting contrast between the two communities makes this an interesting spot to visit. The other bonus in the summer is the dry heat of the oasis, a welcome relief from the humidity on the coast.
