German Courses in Munich!
Germany
Dates: All year round
Description:
Language training means more than the successful communication of knowledge in the classroom, it also represents an authentic encounter with Germany, its people and its culture. We, a group of teachers of German as a foreign language, have been concerned for years with exploring the diverse possibilities of modern teaching methods. Our language school has been in operation since 1988; we offer German language for foreign students, as well as foreign languages for German. Our goal is to work effectively and on a more personal level with our students. Teamwork and close supervision of the course members are also very important to us. Fortunately, the small size and the familiar atmosphere of our school permit us to achieve that. Interest in the German language and culture has always been great and continues to grow, encouraged not only by tourism, but also by business and commerce interests. Our wide variety of programmes and years of experience in the field enable us to successfully meet the needs and demands of an overgrowing clientele. Our courses offer the student a wide variety of options that range from intensive and superintensive group courses to evening classes and personally-tailored individual and minigroup courses. In TANDEM Munchen you will find a modern and international centre for culture and schooling where successful learning is enjoyable and satisfying.
Highlights:
"Muenchen leuchtet" - "Munich shines" - and how! So said Thomas Mann, way back in 1902 and his words still hold true today. This beautiful old city is a media, arts and cultural metropolis, the capital of Bavaria, home of Princes and Kings for centuries and, to top it all, Germany's economic center for technology. The so called 'Silicon Valley' of Europe! Munich by Numbers With close to 1.3 million inhabitants, this 850 year old historical center is Germany's third largest city. It boasts 11 colleges and Universities attended by some 87,000 students, 58 theaters, 89 cinemas, 2 opera houses, 45 museums and art collections including the world-renowned 'Neue Pinakothek', 'Alte Pinakotheks' and 'Pinakothek der Moderne! To add to this impressive list are 7 breweries and, of course, the Oktoberfest (Sept. 20th-Oct. 5th 2008). It's the world's biggest festival attracting over 6.5 million visitors each year to it's legendary beer tents. Munich and it's Surroundings The area around Munich is certainly not to be missed ! Head south and you will discover crystal clear lakes then the stunning mountain scenery of the Bavarian and Austrian Alps - superb ski centres in the winter and fantastic for walking, mountain biking and much more during the rest of the year. King Ludwig II's fairy tale castle 'Neuschwanstein' nestles in the Alpine foothills only 120km away. Don't forget the many other historical German and European cities close enough for weekend visits - Augsburg (60km); Salzburg (136km); Nurmberg (160km); Prague (380km); Vienna (430km) to name but a few.
