Spanish & Cultural Immersion in Madrid

Dates: Starts Mondays at least twice a month, all year round.
Description:
Our very popular Madrid school could not be more centrally located, in the historical part of Madrid. The area of the city is a very fashionable and affluent quarter, only 2 minutes from the Portra Del Sol and one minute from Palacio Real. Located on the sixth floor (with elevator access), in a beautiful turn of the century "Historical Listed " old building, the school offers great views across the roof tops of the city, including the Opera hall. Public transport could not be easier, the "Sol" metro station and bus station are only a few steps away. Because of the central location, all facilities are within walking distance, including all types of boutique shops, dept. stores, cafes, banks, bars, etc. Upon arrival at the school, the first thing you will notice is the friendly, smiling school staff and the relaxed atmosphere. The school has 8 spacious and bright class rooms which are air conditioned, offer two large terraces which over look the city and is the perfect place to relax between classes. Other facilities include a reception area, small library, snack bar which also serves refreshments, video room and students have access to a free internet service between breaks. Our programs cater to all language levels from absolute beginners to the more advanced, include the use of course materials and provide a variety of options to enhance your program. Each student will be expected to take a short placement test on the first Monday morning of the course (unless a complete beginner), to determine the students language level and ensure placement in the correct class.
Highlights:
In the very center of Spain, surrounded by the arid 'mesta', Madrid is the highest capital in Europe. Madrid exudes all the bravado of a capital city. Cars and buses jam the city's streets, yet the commute proceeds with order, speed, and efficiency Everything you might want to see is close by, via a leisurely walk, a quick subway trip, or an inexpensive taxi ride. You will find the locals "Madrileños" are gregarious! Animated discussion and dancing enliven the city's cafés, taverns, bars, and open squares until the early hours of the morning. Locals often munch on tapas and postpone dinner until 11:00 p.m. Then follow the crowds to a wonderful play at Plaza Santa Ana, shake to the dance scene of La Latinaor or take in a show at Madrid's top flamenco clubs near Plaza Tirso de Molina. Madrid is a fascinating place to learn Spanish!
