Description:
Spend the Summer in Florence with Coastline Community College and ACCENT. Florence becomes and extension of you classroom as you explore Italian parks, monuments, churches, and museums. You will attend Italian Art and Photography classes and live in the city. Participants on the Summer in Florence program live in student apartments and have the opportunity to attend cultural events and optional social activities organized by the ACCENT Florence Center staff.
Highlights:
In addition program participants have the opportunity to attend excursions outside of Florence. The first is an overnight trip to Assisi, followed the next week by a fantastic 3 night fieldtrip to Venice(with guided visits to the Doge's Palace and the Basilica of San Marco). There is also a full day fieldtrip to Siena and San Gimignano. In the final week, Florence itself is alive in pageantry aas the "Festa di San Giovanni" is celebrated.
