Description: Vancouver Language Centre, located in Guadalajara, is Mexico's Leading Language School! By studying Spanish with us, you are immersed into the culture and language. Each day you will get the chance to practice Spanish simply by walking out your front door. While you are here to study Spanish, you could also acquire many other valuable skills by taking advantage of our different programs.

As a branch of Vancouver English Centre in Vancouver, Canada, we offer a variety of Spanish and English language programs. Why not spend a little more time in majestic Guadalajara and enroll in our TEFL program?

In addition to our language courses, we provide you with a full calendar of exciting activities in which you may participate. In order to accommodate our international clients, VLC arranges homestay accommodations at no cost for those interested in living with a family for a very reasonable fee. We also provide transportation to and from the airport.   

Since Vancouver Language Centre is accredited by the Secretary of Public Education of Mexico, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of education. You will receive the most current materials and innovative instruction as possible.

Highlights: Our Spanish courses are designed to develop your grammar and conversation. We will work with you to obtain business language skills in order for you to communicate with your Spanish speaking business partners.

Qualified, native Spanish speaking teachers employ videotapes, role-plays, class interaction and group participation as everyday methods of teaching in our classrooms. Our goal is to engage the students for them to learn the language much faster!

The basic Spanish course program may be full-time or part-time. The flexibility of our schedules permits students to choose how intensively they would like to learn the language. You may study from 10 - 20 hours per week depending on which program suits you best.

Our Business Program improves all communication skills for people who need Spanish in their day-to-day work. The emphasis is on business terminology, writing and public speaking. This course is available for Level 6 (Advanced) students. It is offered to both full-time and part-time students.

Our TEFL Certificate Program (Teaching English as a Foreign Language)provides 140 hours of instruction during a four week time period. A compact course focusing on grammar, teaching methods, classroom observations, lesson planning and practicum. Optional TEFL Electives: Teaching English to Children (TEC) and Teaching Business English (TBE) are also available after the Certificate course. Many students enjoy our Spanish language classes before or after their TEFL program in addition to the free classes included with the program.
