Description: "Spanish & Surfing" combines Spanish classes with windsurfing or kite surfing lessons. The Spanish lessons are held at the Instituto Intercultural del Caribe (IIC) in Sosua; surfing classes take place in the near-by surfers paradise, Cabarete. The program has a modular structure: Every language and surfing course type can be mixed with any accommodation category. So you can create your individual program of "Spanish & Surfing"!

Locations:
The surfing spot Cabarete is known as one of the best surfing areas in the world. While windsurfing beginners and experts find excellent conditions in the long stretched Cabarete Bay, kite surfers get their money worth riding the waves at Kite Beach which is only 200 meters away.

At night, surfers, Dominicans and tourists mingle in one of the numerous bars and enjoy partying together while lovers stroll along the beach holding hands. Cabarete is perfect for everyone.

IIC Sosua is located in the old and more serene part of Sosua, called "El Batey". The school building, sheltered by impressive old trees and lush vegetation, offers the ideal ambiance for concentrated learning in a tropical surrounding. Classes often take place on one of the 4 shadowed and airy terraces. The institute is within a stone's throw of the center and 5 minutes walk away from the main beach.

The surfing school has its base directly in Cabarete. With more than 15 years of experience it belongs to the first and most renowned surfing centers in the country. Classes and briefings are multilingual. Individual care, the surfers safety and fun is the top priority. That is why group sizes are only up to a maximum of 3 participants per guide for kite surfing and up to 6 participants per guide for the windsurfing courses.

With regard to wind and weather conditions surfing is usually possible all week long, Monday through Sunday. It takes about 15 minutes to get from Sosua to Cabarete by public transport (gua-guas or carro publicos) and costs only a few Pesos.
