Description: ECHO Eastern Europe invites you to visit our intensive Russian and Ukrainian language courses in the one of the oldest and most beautiful European cities - Kiev.

We are sure that you will enjoy our education system and our facilities, which are unique in their kind:

Our courses could be a great supplement to a year long education of these languages as foreign ones. The programmes are designed starting from one week. Students can use a principle of intensive 'Summer school learning' at any month of the year.

ECHO Eastern Europe - Russian & Ukrainian Courses, Summer School

Highlights: Russian and Ukrainian intensive courses, Russian and Ukrainian language books, Unique Summer School Program.

The following Russian and Ukrainian intensive language instruction are provided:

1. Elementary Russian and Ukrainian - The principal elements of the language, including reading, writing, speaking, basic grammar and conversation. Emphasis is placed on colloquial language and the ability to converse in Russian or Ukrainian.

2. Intermediate and Ukrainian - Written and spoken Russian or Ukrainian. More fundamentals of Russian or Ukrainian grammar, with emphasis on oral practice, comprehension and composition.

3. Advanced Russian and Ukrainian - Advanced Russian or Ukrainian grammar. Russian or Ukrainian roots and word formation. Russian or Ukrainian syntax and composition. Emphasis on vocabulary building, composition, verbal proficiency and vocabulary of Special courses within this track.

4. Combined Russian and Ukrainian at any level above.

Each of these tracks contains Standard courses for language learning - Grammar Learning and Practicing, Free conversations and Phonetics together with Special courses - Mass media, Literature of 19th and 20th century, Poetry, etc.

You will read a variety of literature, see films and theatrical performances related to this fields as wells as be responsible for writing assignments, research, speech and other projects. Also stressed will be grammar, usage, and vocabulary.

Placement test is run on the first day of classes to establish prospective students' proficiency level.

Grading will be determined on the basis of the final examination. Students having good marks in the final exam will be rewarded a certificate.

Other Special courses could be provided:

- Russian / Ukrainian Culture and Modern Society
- Business Russian / Ukrainian (Negotiations, Documentation, Trade Vocabulary, etc.)
- Russian / Ukrainian History, Arts, Politics, Music, Folklore, Mythology and other tailor - made programs, if you inform us in advance as for your preferences.
