Eurolingua One-to-One Homestay Programmes are available all year and are suitable for students of any age (16 - 75 years) and language level (beginner to advanced). Ideal for personal interest, business, travel or examination revision purposes. All Eurolingua tutors are fully-qualified teachers and native speakers, experienced in teaching their mother tongue as a foreign language.

The unique Eurolingua One-to-One Homestay Programme will ensure that you make maximum progress in the shortest possible time, whatever your starting level, beginner to advanced. You live full-board in the home of your fully-qualified foreign language tutor, receiving 4 hours per day (20 hours per week) of individual language tuition, specifically adapted to your own level, learning pace and interests, whether for business or pleasure!! The rest of the time you benefit from lots of conversational practice by participating in the usual everyday family activities of your personal tutor and family and by meeting people in the local community. You may, of course, have as much independent time as you wish. You acquire an authentic accent, total confidence and real fluency in the language.

Guests will be picked up at the Vancouver Airport and be driven to Horseshoe Bay, where they will board a ferry and enjoy a 40-minute voyage through some of the most spectacular scenery in the world. A half-hour scenic drive will bring them to the Halfmoon Bay area where we are situated.

Our 4100 sq. ft. home offers a quintessential British Columbia setting, unpolluted, amid forest, water and mountains. The house is an attractive wood and brick structure with five levels, on an acre of wooded land. There are six bedrooms, four bathrooms, a sitting room/library with a fireplace, a family room with entertainment centre, a formal dining room, a study/teaching room with a piano, and a large family kitchen with computer desk and eating area.

Rooms are finely-furnished and offer art and antiques to enjoy. Students would be offered a choice of three luxurious, nicely-decorated bedrooms with TV plus DVD or VCR. Private bathrooms are available (bathtub, shower, toilet, sink, vanity).

On the back sundeck overlooking the garden, next to the forest, there is a hot tub available. Deer and elk visit our property; eagles and hawks soar above. Adjoining our property is a provincial park. The back yard has garden furniture, permitting guests to relax and dine outdoors.

Five minutes away is a bay, wonderful for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, snorkelling, scuba diving, etc. Close by is a clear lake surrounded by forest, also great for swimming and picnicking. In the winter there is skating in a rink; hiking in the forest trails, and walking along the ocean.

Daily trips would be made to Sechelt, the nearest town, to shop, and to visit places of interest and entertainment. Activities in the area and in Vancouver will be planned according to students' interests. Come as a guest; leave as a friend.
