AmeriSpan - Learn Spanish in Merida, Venezuela
Venezuela
Term: Throughout the year
Dates: New classes begin each Month
Description:
A lovely university town, known as the City of Caballeros, Merida is located in a valley of the Andes at 5,332 feet. As expected in a university town, there is a great deal of activity in this city which is filled with colonial architecture and narrow streets. The highest tramway in the world offers visitors a spectacular view of Merida and the Andes. Our partner school is located in an airy cheerful space with windows over looking the Andes. The professional staff provides a good language program and lots of personal attention. School Facilities: Downtown on the 4th floor of an office building which also houses a bakery, cafeteria, pizza parlor, several restaurants, a pool hall. Airy class rooms with a view of the Andes. Language lab with audio cassettes. Capacity is 24 students/day. Participants: From Europe and US. Wide age range.
Highlights:
Venezuela is located on the northern coast of South America and enjoys tropical climate year-round, attracting tourists from Germany, Italy, Spain and North America. About half part of the country is forest (including rainforest). Venezuela boasts countless paradise-like islands along its nearly 1,800 miles of coastline. In addition, the country has a well-developed infrastructure, 35 national parks and Angel Falls (the world's highest waterfall).

AmeriSpan Study Abroad's Mission Statement: Our mantra is "Every Language, Every Culture, Everywhere." AmeriSpan Study Abroad has over 15 years experience and over 30,000 past participants. Our staff has three passions: language, culture, and travel. Individually and as a group, we have accumulated experiences and knowledge related to these passions. AmeriSpan's staff has traveled to more than 65 countries, every continent except Antarctica, speak 10 languages, and we are happy to share this enormous amount of relevant knowledge with you. Every staff member has studied and/or lived abroad for extended periods of time. We are neither a language school nor a travel agent, we're a hybrid of the two: a language travel organization. AmeriSpan has evaluated hundreds of schools, host families and destinations to determine which programs to offer, and our independence allows us to give you unbiased evaluations of these programs.
Our pledge to our participants is to make going abroad 'worry-free'. There is no risk in choosing an AmeriSpan program because you'll get the best program, best price and can cancel for any reason and get a full refund on every dollar we have received for your program.
