Description:
In 1994, a new language school was set up in Cracow - Prolog. It can be best described as a team of highly motivated, enthusiastic teachers who are open to new ideas. It includes Poles as well as foreigners native speakers of the languages taught. We concentrate on teaching three languages: Polish as a foreign language, English and German. From the very beginning our teaching methods have been determined by communicative approach, prevalent in teaching foreign languages for many years now. It allows our students to develop all language skills at the same time thus giving them the opportunity to maximize the activeness of the language at every level of learning. We realize that learning Polish has its difficulties, thus, we do our best to make it easier and more enjoyable. To support our students we have developed our own series of materials for teaching Polish as a foreign language. Taking advantage of the many years of experience in teaching foreign languages and utilizing the experience of teachers cooperating with us, we decided to prepare our own materials for teaching Polish as a foreign language, addressed to the universal, adult learner. At the moment the HURRA!!! series is the most innovative one on the market. In addition to great consideration for teaching methods, we very much care to maintain a unique and homely atmosphere at our school and to address individual needs of the students. The fact that our participants come back to continue their education at subsequent language sessions is the best proof of the quality of our courses. The questionnaires carried out among the participants of our courses show that in more than 50% of cases, the school was recommended to them by their friends.
Highlights:
Our Polish language program is one of the most innovative in Krakow. Each of our 2-week courses includes over 50 lessons of Polish language instruction (one lesson equals 45 minutes). Students will benefit from intensive Polish language study focusing on Polish vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing and conversation, as well as practicals, tutorials and lectures on Polish culture. Our courses are open to anyone aged 16 and over. Speakers of all languages are invited to attend. Our programs encompass all levels of Polish, including: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced and Native Speaker. Students will be grouped based on the results of a placement test and interview. In addition to the core 50 lessons of language instruction, students will also have several consultation hours available to them, during which they may reach our instructors for extra assistance. For the more ambitious, we also offer an additional "Super-Intensive Option", comprising additional hours that may be taken privately or semi-privately.
