Internships

Is there a 'gap' in your education? Is that 'gap' professional exposure, experience or, practical workplace interaction? Then, Griffith Business School's Global Action Program (GAP) is just what you need.

GAP provides the opportunity to interact on a professional basis in both Australian domestic and international arenas, and includes innovative 'Action Learning' initiatives such as internships, field studies and project-based activities.

GAP includes both individual and team-based activities, and can be targeted towards specific industry sectors or professional skills development. Emphasising a strategic global focus, as part of a one or two semester overseas study program, international students can integrate GAP with conventional Griffith University courses, and effectively 'use what you learn' while studying in Australia.

English Language

The Griffith English Language Institute (GELI) provides high quality English language instruction for international students who wish to:

- study in the Australian tertiary education system
- study English for improved language proficiency
- study English for improved employment prospects

GELI has three centres, two in Brisbane and one on the Gold Coast. The Gold Coast centre is located ten minutes by car from the main Griffith University Gold Coast campus. The Brisbane centres are a 15 minute drive from the city centre and are set in a beautiful bush setting. Excellent public transport to the city and local shopping areas allow students to travel quickly and safely.The Gold Coast is approximately one hour's drive from Brisbane. Ideally located in the central business district the Gold Coast centre has superb views of the water and provides easy access to public transport.

Each GELI centre provides:

- a Self Access Centre for independent learning
- a Language Laboratory
- a Computer Laboratory as well as traditional teaching resources.

Students are provided with an identification card which will allow them to make use of university facilities including library, email and internet access and numerous social and sporting clubs.
