Description: Come join a project dedicated to learning and improving your Spanish! Immerse yourself in the fourth most spoken language in the world and a fascinating culture on one of our Spanish language placements in Argentina. Spanish is an important language - as the most studied second language of English speakers and only one of six languages used in the United Nations, you're bound to need it as our world grows smaller.

You will have 15 hours of tutoring a week with a qualified teacher on a one-to-one basis or will be paired with another volunteer who speaks the same level of Spanish. You'll learn quickly - especially because you will also have plenty of opportunities to practice your new skills while staying with your Spanish-speaking host family! Lessons are one on one with a tutor and are tailored to your ability. Whether you are a complete beginner or have been learning Spanish for a number of years, being surrounded by the language every day will help your skills progress in leaps and bounds. After your lessons you will have plenty of time to explore the area with other volunteers - after you complete your homework, of course!

Highlights: Argentina offers numerous excellent locations for trekking, climbing, skiing and horse-riding. When you've finished your placement, you can visit Iguazu Falls, stay on a ranch in the Pampas or head to Valdes to spot whales, penguins and sea lions.

Due to the inter-personal nature of the work, this placement is an excellent opportunity to practice your Spanish. Aside from interacting with the children, you will also be working with the foster parents and organization's administrators to make sure things keep running smoothly.

For your accommodation, you'll live with a Spanish speaking host-family, which is great environment for developing and improving your language skills. All the families involved are extremely supportive of the projects carried out by Projects Abroad and are keen to experience an intercultural exchange and learn about the lives of volunteers.

In addition, this project offers the opportunity to become fully immersed in the culture in a manner which even the most hardened of backpackers could never hope to do.
