Description: The IMLS has long been at the forefront of developments in student exchanges in Montpellier. It is a non-profit association which aims to combine education and culture.

It has become the strategic link between universities in Montpellier and abroad and offers specific services for students wanting to study in France and immerse themselves in French culture.

French and foreign languages at Institut Mediterraneen de Langues Services:

Level 1, Elementary
This level is directed at students needing a review of the basis of the language. The goal is to acquire the basic grammatical structures, a vocabulary of about 1,000 words, and to be capable of using them in oral language.

Level 2, Intermediate
This level is directed at students who already have a basic knowledge of the language. The goal is to acquire new grammatical structures and to widen their lexical knowledge. Some civilization points will be introduced.

Level 3, Advanced
This level is for students capable of accurately expressing themselves and writing. The goal is to deepen certain grammatical points, understand subtleties, perceive language registers, and to improve oral and written expression. Introduction of certain points in civilization: institutions, media, regions, society..

Inter-active computer learning with access to Internet.

Highlights:

* It works closely with students' home universities concerning the validation of transcripts and grades in order to obtain academic credit.
* It facilitates the student's social integration and arranges housing.
