Description: Since 1950, IES has been building quality study abroad programs and introducing U.S. students to new places, studies, and ways of thinking. A non-profit educational organization, IES offers high academic standards and extensive financial aid in almost 30 programs throughout the world.

The IES Salamanca Summer program enrolls approximately twenty students and is designed for students who want to improve their Spanish language skills through a full-immersion language program. Classes are offered by Cursos Internacionales de la Universidad de Salamanca, one of the preeminent centers in the teaching of Castilian Spanish. Students take a placement exam and are placed in one of nine language levels.

Highlights: * Intensive Spanish language instruction at the intermediate and advanced levels.
* Small classroom size to ensure individual attention from instructors.
* Introduction to Spanish culture.
* All courses taught in Spanish at Cursos Internacionales de la Universidad de Salamanca.
* Field trip to Picos de Europa.
* Housing in private homes with families or senoras.
* Allows for excellent preparation and transition into the IES Salamanca semester program or the IES Madrid semester program.
