Chinese language programs for international students at all levels from beginners to the advanced: long-term program, short-term program, summer program, mini-class program, bachelor degree program The Iowa in Tianjin summer program was designed for students with 1-3 years of college Chinese language. The eight week program includes a 4 s.h. intensive Chinese language course, a 3 s.h. Chinese area studies course and a 1 s.h. practical course in Chinese Folk Art. Programmed activities include excursions in Tianjin and the surrounding area, and conversation partners from among interested TUT students. Homestay visits with Chinese families on the weekend are an option.
Highlights:
Students can also join school-guided cultural tours and take elective courses such as Kongfu (Chinese martial arts), Chinese painting, Chinese calligraphy, Folk musical instruments, Beijing opera, etc. School-guided cultural tours are also available.
