Description: SACAL offers a full curriculum of Modern Standard Arabic, Colloquial Moroccan Arabic, and a complement of English-language classes on Islam and Morocco. Students may also choose from a selection of supplementary courses, including calligraphy, Qur'anic recitation, wood and plaster carving, lute lessons, and cooking classes.

Highlights: Students are invited to attend a programme of cultural events which includes film screenings, lectures and panel discussions. Tours of the Fez medina are offered on a regular basis, and excursions can be arranged to a variety of sites throughout Morocco. SACAL also offers service opportunities and encourages students to volunteer during their time in Fez.
