This French Language school is located in a charming 18th century town house situated near the center of Paris in the 9th district (2 blocks from Place de Clichy), minutes away from the Etoile, the Champs Elysees, Invalides and the Opera. The painter Edgar Degas (1834-1917) and the writer Emile Zola (1840-1902) both lived at number 23 rue Ballu where the school is located. It is an oasis of peace where you hear the birds singing rather than the noise of traffic. E.L.F.E. was established in 1984 and is accredited by the French Ministry of Education. This upscale French school enjoys an excellent reputation because of its small class sizes and high quality instruction. The classrooms are comfortable, modern and several of them are equipped with audio visual equipment. A common room/cafeteria and an outdoor terrace during the summer provide students with peaceful areas to relax and socialize during breaks or before and after classes.
