Internationalisation is the main focus of the development strategy of Tallinn University. The university's objective is to establish an international centre for academic and scientific research in Tallinn, and part of this objective is to establish the tradition of an international summer school. The school differs from other summer schools because, on the one hand, we present the best of Estonian specialists, and on the other, a range of international academics. Courses include: 1. Estonian Language and Culture 2. Russian Language and Culture 3. Italian Language 4. English Language 5. Creative Writing in English 6. Social Work and Social Policy Issues in Estonia 7. Digital Filmmaking: Make a Short in Two Weeks 8. Creative Workshop in Painting 9. Promotion and Communication in Social Marketing 10. Workshop in Creative Industries: Creativity and Economic Growth 11. Digital Photography Design 12. Ecotourism and Recreation 13. 8th Tallinn Summer School in Social and Cultural Studies "Globalization"
Highlights:
Tallinn Summer School arranges different events for its participants in order to enjoy Tallinn and Estonia. The essence of the cultural programme is to help participants at Tallinn Summer School to gain a valuable overview of Estonian culture, based on the local heritage, and to enhance links between the different courses. The aim is to show the wide diversity of Estonia's culture and to create a meeting place for all the students. After all the courses have finished, participants can join one of the trips organised by Tallinn Summer School.
