About The NRCSA Center

The NRCSA Center in Santa Ana was founded in 1974, and is dedicated to the teaching of Spanish and English as foreign languages. Over the years, they have always adhered to these three rules:

* Keep the instruction practical
* Keep the groups small
* Make sure the instructors are educated, native speakers

The local director and primary program administrator are U.S. nationals, and have extensive backgrounds in the instruction of Spanish to non-speakers. Both individuals have lived in Costa Rica for over 15 years, and have significant experience in operating a successful language school. There is commitment to quality language training that is shared by a staff of experienced Costa Rican instructors. They are well acquainted with the language learning habits of foreigners. Together with the school administration, they will do their best to provide you with a rewarding language learning experience.

Santa Ana is the perfect location for those who are looking for a more rural setting, but don't want to give up access to the "big" city. The school has a lovely six-acre campus on a hillside near Santa Ana and is just ten miles west of San Jose. Additionally, Internet Cafes are located nearby, and can be used for a reasonable fee.

About Santa Ana

Santa Ana is located on a hilltop about ten miles west of San José. It has a dining hall, a lounge, twenty classrooms (sixteen indoors and four outdoors), two lodges, a fifty-foot long swimming pool, a volleyball court, a basketball court, a tennis backboard, ping-pong tables, a bathhouse (solar heated showers), two meeting rooms (T.V. and VCR), and lots of hammocks.
