About The NRCSA Center

The NRCSA Center in Hyères provides students with a warm, friendly, family atmosphere for their French language study programs. All language instructors are university graduates and work as a team. The emphasis is on individual attention to each student's needs. There is a modern language laboratory as well as 12 bright and spacious classrooms equipped with overhead projectors, tape-recorders and 3 video rooms. Students attend this program from all over the world, and many are so satisfied that they return again and again.

The centers capacity is 130 students; small enough so that everyone is personally known and taken care of, but large enough to offer the best learning facilities and setting. The purpose-built air-conditioned premises is located on 4000 sqm with a large private car-park. The attractive Mediterranean garden with olive trees, mimosas, and palm trees, as well as a large terrace with tables, chairs and sunshades, is open to students so they can chat, work and have lunch. The school also operates a self-service restaurant open for drinks or lunch at very reasonable prices. An "internet corner" for students to surf the web or send and receive personal e-mails is available.

Every student who regularly attends class receives, at the end of their stay, a certificate showing length of course, attendance, participation and level completed. The school is recognized as being a center for Alliance Francaise examinations, and is permitted by the Hamburg authorities in Germany to deliver Bildungsurlaub certificates . Every year the exams take place at the school and students enrolled in special courses for the preparation of the "Diplome de Langue Francaise" can obtain an internationally recognized diploma.

About Hyères

Hyeres is located in the posh Cote d'Azur region in the south of France. It boasts many beautiful, clean beaches and a large, striking marina. Hyeres has a history which dates back to the 12th century and the old town is full of winding streets, small shops and a traditional market. There are many cinemas, restaurants and parks which offer recreation for people of all interests.

Hyeres is an ideal-sized town for a linguistic stay: with its 56,000 inhabitants, it is large enough to provide all the services and entertainment you would expect, yet small enough to have a soul and enable you to know all the best places and to meet local people easily. Hyères has a heart and a history dating back to the XII century, of which the old town bears witness, with its picturesque winding streets, small shops and traditional markets. Of course Hyères has developed and grown, but always harmoniously: interesting shopping precincts, affluent residential areas, parks and flower gardens everywhere. A theatre, an auditorium seating 3,000, a gambling Casino, cinemas, discotheques, restaurants etc.... are all to be found in the lively town centre.
