Description: The Yemen Center for Arab Studies (YCAS) will facilitate individual scholars and teams of scholars doing research in Yemen. Services include: arranging research permits, providing accommodation, making visa and travel arrangements, and assisting research projects by making introductions and appointments with appropriate individuals and organizations. YCAS will host study tours for secondary, college, or university teachers which provide an educational overview of the cultural and geographic diversity of Yemen and its importance in ancient history, Islamic heritage and modern experience. The Center is developing a program of courses in Yemeni Studies and Arab Studies, to be implemented in the near future.

Highlights: All classes are capped at a maximum of six students per class. Please keep in mind that the summer terms are our busiest time of the year, so enroll as early as possible.

    Cost Include Description:
    We hope to expand opportunities for Arabic study abroad through lower tuition fees.  Our ten-week (season) tuition fees are only $1,550, our five-week term tuition fees are only $875, and our year abroad tuition fees (9 terms) are only $7,875. These prices cover instruction, , textbooks and other learning materials, visa extensions, shuttle service to and from the Sana'a airport, cultural and historical day trips outside of Sana'a, and access to additional lectures on various topics pertinent to Arab history or culture. In addition, we also offer package programs that include airfare.  A ten week package price for example, including all of the above and round-trip airfare via Yemenia Airlines from New York, is only $2,800.
