Learn French in Paris? Founded in 1948, the ILCF welcomes 2,500 students every year aged 18 and upwards from all over the world, individually or in groups, who want to learn French and become acquainted with French culture and civilization in a university atmosphere. The ILCF is a Department of the Catholic University of Paris (ICP) - a place of intellectual and research tradition in the historical heart of Paris near the students' Latin Quarter, the existentialists' Saint-Germain-des-Prés (Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir) and the painters' Montparnasse (Picasso, Modigliani, Chagall). 50 qualified and experienced teachers, all specialists of FLE (French as a Foreign Language), some of them authors of many FLE books, accompany the students in a personalized way. The Catholic University of Paris is an academic complex housing faculties and higher education establishments of professional training in 3 areas: Literature, Languages and Social Sciences; Science and Engineering; Theology and Religious Sciences.
