Learn Spanish in Sosua
Dominican Republic
Dates: Start any Monday
Description:
Learning Spanish abroad in Sosua, Dominican Republic is one of many language immersion programs offered by AmeriSpan. Known for its old Spanish ruins, beaches, and baseball players, the Dominican Republic is located about 600 miles southeast of Florida. It occupies two-thirds of Hispaniola, an island discovered by Columbus when he ran the Santa Maria aground on Christmas Day 1492. The island's strategic position between the Panama Canal and Central and South America has made it a natural gateway to the Americas. Here one can hike on mountains, travel through lush jungle and semi-arid deserts, or enjoy the sea from white sand beaches. Despite a booming tourist industry attracted by the natural beauty, upscale casinos, and low cost of living, the country is still largely undiscovered today. Learn Spanish Language in Dominican Republic: Learning Spanish abroad in Sosua, Dominican Republic is one of many language immersion programs offered by AmeriSpan. On one end of the beach is El Batey featuring residential streets, gardens, restaurants, shops and hotels, and on the other end Los Charamicos, the business and residential sector for the locals who work in Playa Sosua making this area a very traditional one Spanish School Facilities: Located in El Batey, the school is very close to the center and 5 minutes walking distance from the main beach. AmeriSpan Study Abroad's Mission Statement: Our mantra is "Every Language, Every Culture, Everywhere." AmeriSpan Study Abroad has over 15 years experience and over 30,000 past participants. Our staff has three passions: language, culture, and travel. Individually and as a group, we have accumulated experiences and knowledge related to these passions. AmeriSpan's staff has traveled to more than 65 countries, every continent except Antarctica, speak 10 languages, and we are happy to share this enormous amount of relevant knowledge with you. Every staff member has studied and/or lived abroad for extended periods of time. We are neither a language school nor a travel agent, we're a hybrid of the two: a language travel organization. AmeriSpan has evaluated hundreds of schools, host families and destinations to determine which programs to offer, and our independence allows us to give you unbiased evaluations of these programs.
Our pledge to our participants is to make going abroad 'worry-free'. There is no risk in choosing an AmeriSpan program because you'll get the best program, best price and can cancel for any reason and get a full refund on every dollar we have received for your program.
