Description: Academia Iria Flavia offers Spanish courses in Santiago de Compostela since 1994. It is located in the city centre, just one minute walking from the Old Town and 5 minutes from the Cathedral and all the major monuments. It is a small school were you will find a family-like atmosphere. The total number of students can reach 90; our Spanish lessons are taught in small groups averaging 5 students, with a maximum of 8. It is very easy, therefore, to contact all the school staff, both teachers and administrative or managerial. Actually, relation with teachers is one of the most important values you will find while you are here. You relate to your teacher in the classroom, but also to other groups teachers during coffee breaks or other activities. You can also join our programme of language exchange with Spanish students. You will see that it is not difficult to practice Spanish with natives and out of the classroom.

Facilities include 6 modern and fully equipped classrooms, an internet room, disabled access...

Highlights: The School also organises social events which are also attended by the Spanish students who study foreign languages at Iria Flavia throughout the rest of the year. These events provide students with the opportunity to mix with native Spanish-speakers, helping to make their stay more profitable and enjoyable. It is also worthy of mention that because our students come from all over the World, Spanish is the only language they have in common. Finally, the student-teacher relationship also continues beyond the classroom. Every teacher organises at least one weekly activity as well as taking part in the social events organised by the School, which all helps create a strong group spirit. All of this makes lessons more dynamic and improves achievement.
