Description:
Founded in 1989, Enforex is the largest organization in Spain & Latin America specialized in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. This school lies in the city's eastern section, "El Batey." It's just a short walk from here to the city center and to Sosua's principal beach. Our grounds are covered by tropical trees providing natural shade on 4 terraces, where outdoor classes can be held. Both Dominican students studying German or English and international students studying Spanish socialize, relax and practice languages in our outdoor garden, equipped with comfortable lounge chairs and a ping pong table. Indoors classrooms are simple and cozy. Additionally, a communal, open-door kitchen adds to the center's familial atmosphere. The school is equipped with computers for free internet access, as well as wi-fi for those who bring their own laptops. The following Spanish courses are available in Sosua: * Intensive Group Course (20 lessons per week) * Super Intensive Group Course (30 group lessons per week) * Private Spanish Lessons (20 lessons per week) Location * In the "El Batey" part of town * Short walk from the center of town as well as from the main beach Facilities * Indoor classrooms as well as 4 terraces/ outdoor classrooms * Gardens * Kitchen area * Computers with free internet access as well as wi-fi Minimum age to learn Spanish in Sosua: 16 (with letter of permission from parents or guardians).
Highlights:
If you're looking for a small, leisurely setting in the Dominican Republic, Sosua is a great alternative to Santo Domingo. Located on the island's northern coast, Sosua is famous for its scuba diving and beaches. Despite the city's modest size, it's quite international with a significant expatriate community who strives to keep their haven clean, safe and enjoyable. If you're itching to get some big city action, you can head just 25 km (15 miles) west to the province's capital, Puerto Plata. On the other hand, it's easy to travel 15 minutes east to Cabarete, toted as the country's kite boarding and windsurfing capital. Between Sosua and Caberete, you'll find the perfect combination of sports, relaxation, sunny days and a great nightlife to complement your Spanish study experience. Dominican Republic Excursions & Activities At our Spanish school in Santo Domingo, we encourage students to take advantage of a full activities calendar. Many of our trips and excursions are organized with native Dominican students so you can practice your Spanish and make local friends.
