Other courses for high school requirements can be integrated through the various high schools in the community of Taxco.

The School for Foreign Students was established in 1921 in order to give students from foreign countries an opportunity to acquire a deeper knowledge of Spanish and Latin American Cultures. Each level of Spanish is divided into two courses and consists of 90 class hours, which are worth a total of 6 credits. Each course consists of 30 class hours, and is worth 2 credits. Students may take a maximum of 6 courses; e.g. one level of Spanish, which consists of two classes, plus a maximum of 2 other classes in Latin American Culture. To obtain credit in any course, students must attend 80% of the lectures, complete the assigned work, and pass a final examination. Credits earned at this School are accepted by most Foreign Universities.

CEPE Taxco offers students the option of volunteer work in the community of Taxco Guerrero and surrounding area. Some of the volunteer positions include working in the various schools, municipal offices, hospitals, and clinics. CEPE Taxco has also created its very own ecological awareness group called Guerreros Verdes, which is open to a number of volunteer projects concerning the ecology.

UNAM is a leader among world universities, and many international students choose to study there. In order to enroll in classes and pass the entrance exam, students must be fluent in Spanish. CEPE is UNAM's basic program in preparing students to enter one of the various degree programs available, and assures the student to fully understand the questions of UNAM's entrance exam.
