Description: Smart Training Company is a Tunisian organization dedicated to providing quality language instruction using a logical and sequential or "smart" approach. Our accredited, intensive language immersion programs emphasize spoken Arabic, but we require students to keep pace with internationally recognized writing, listening, and reading benchmarks.

The Modern Language center is ideally situated in Tunis' garden district. Our location provides students the opportunity to be immersed in Arabic both inside and outside the classroom. It also affords our students the chance to experience the rich, ancient Tunisian culture, climate and cuisine in our welcoming seaside location.

STC encourages its Arabic students who are native English speakers to have at least an undergraduate degree(in any field)and be certified in TEFL, TEOFL, or CELTA to teach English in order to give its English students the valuable opportunity to be taught by native English speakers. You are expected to teach 6 hours a week and the school will make you a discount for you Arabic Classes.

Highlights:
The STC program In the Arabic language emphasizes instruction in Modern Standard Arabic (MSA). If taken sequentially, students at STC should expect to finish the entire Arabic program within 18 months. We offer courses at six levels: beginner, elementary, pre-intermediate, intermediate, upper-intermediate and advanced. Each level is divided into three sub-levels and each sub-level is completed in a month. Written exams, quizzes and oral exams are held throughout the session. Weekly assignments are also included to help sharpen skills.

Our MSA courses run year round. Classes run four hours daily from Monday to Friday, offering 20 hours of classroom instruction each week. The monthly total of 80 instructional hours is the estimated time required to master each sub-level at STC.

Instructors teach from the Georgetown Arabic language textbooks by Brustad, Al Batal and Al-Tounsi. Tunisian supplementary materials are also provided to enrich the students' knowledge of Arabic language and culture.

The program is intensive and demanding, and students are expected to be highly committed and to attend classes and do homework on a daily basis.

Written and oral exams are held and intended to assess each student's performance. Weekly assignments are also included to help sharpen skills.
