Spanish + Practices in the Street

  Argentina
  • Buenos Aires:
  • Buenos Aires

Description: Our Infrastructure / Equipment

BASI is in Monserrat, on the musician's street, which has instruments in its show windows and music flowing out of the shops. The school has a view to the street side façade of an art deco building. It is two blocks from Av. De Mayo and 9 de Julio, close to the metro station. As most of central Buenos Aires, the school's neighborhood is a very safe place, at day and night.

Our school has functional and esthetically appealing classrooms equipped with large windows, 1 PC , wooden floors, air conditioning etc. Add to that 3 PCs with internet access (plus wi-fi all over the school), and, of course, the area where students spend their breaks.

Our Staff

All of our staff are professional language teachers with relevant university degrees from top universities in Argentina (or in their last year of study). All of them are native speakers, of course. Most of them speak at least two other languages and have extensive experience in working with students from abroad.

As obvious as this may sound, our teachers are a key ingredient of our service offering and they heavily contribute to making your stay a productive and an enjoyable one. Our teaching staff has been rigorously selected. Academic credentials are a prerequisite for teachers in most schools. At BASI, we also guarantee open-minded, motivated teachers who can bring across the necessary teaching content. Some of our teachers also teach literature at the prestigious University of Buenos Aires.

BASI - Buenos Aires Spanish Institute's Mission Statement: Our main objective is don't making you loose your time in grammar details, and to put immediately in practice what you've learnt in class, helping you to improve your skills to communicate in Spanish according to the situation. That's why we offer you different programs of Spanish for different circumstances: occasional travelers, couples, families, friends, business people, professionals and students in general. And in BASI, what makes the difference with other schools, is that you can agree with the teacher which parts of your classes will be "street practice". A Spanish course should adapt to your own goals and interests, you don't have to adapt to a course. In BASI, in a warm and intimate environment of direct communication with the directors, you can make this possible.
