UBA (Universidad de Buenos Aires - a public university) is the largest and most well known university in Argentina, and is one of the most prestigious in Latin America. The Foreign Language Department offers Spanish programs for foreign students, as well as other foreign language programs for Argentine students. Every year, more than 20,000 students study foreign languages there. The UBA is located in a bustling area of downtown, Buenos Aires near the Obelisk and the National Congress. Mente Argentina's Spanish Program is held at a large and well-known university which will most probably give you credit for your home university. Most students get 3 - 4 semester units for each 4-week Spanish course completed with the Mente Argentina's Spanish University Program. If you are in college and would like to get academic credit at your home institution, you will have to pass all the Spanish courses because most institutions require at least a 'C' grade or more before giving credit to an overseas course. Just in case, talk to your advisor or coordinator and arrange this in time if possible. Official transcripts are issued by the Universidad de Buenos Aires Spanish Language Department.

Mente Argentina has designed a Spanish program for students who want to learn Spanish and get academic credit, as well as for those students who just want to learn Spanish for fun in a university environment while visiting Buenos Aires, instead of doing it at a regular School of Spanish. Our program is aimed at students with all Spanish levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. Spanish courses at Mente Argentina's Spanish School start every month of the year. For specific Spanish courses schedules, please check our calendar! Spanish classes at the Universidad de Buenos Aires are held every day from Monday to Friday, usually at 1 pm. These classes are generally delivered by 2 teachers and cover grammar, writing tasks, reading and comprehension and oral communication. Like in all the other programs, you will have special activities (included in the program) during the week and weekends that will help you to practice your Spanish and will let you have some real Spanish training while you get to know the city in an exciting way.
