ESAC now offers English language courses for those participants who wish to improve their English. The focus is on advanced and business English and the program is open to anyone who demonstrates an existing high level of English and wants to further develop their language skills in the area of business, marketing, advertising, sales, human resources, law and management.

The second most widely spoken language and business language in Prague is English. So why not study English in an exotic location with lots of rich culture and fun activities? For those who would like to study English in Prague, we offer you the chance to mix with other students and international business people and continue to practice your business English outside the class room. In addition to visiting local businesses, you will also be able to join a wide variety of cultural events which are all conducted in English. This intensive four-week program is ideally suited for students who require a tailored and flexible solution to their English communication needs and those who require comprehensive and advanced communication skills in English. Goals - Build confidence in your ability to conduct business in English - Develop verbal fluency for face-to-face business situations - Achieve more professional approach and interaction with clients - Conduct meetings and presentations in English - Improve cross cultural communication with colleagues and clients - Enhance comprehension of key areas of business and management - Impress your friends and colleagues with excellent pronunciation and a richer vocabulary Course content - Vocabulary enhancement - Improved listening skills for meetings and teleconferences - Role playing, conducting meetings and visiting international businesses - Achieving clarity in written English - Listening skills for meetings and teleconferences - Effective written communication techniques and assistance in developing presentations Approach Our language instructors are native English speakers from around the world who live in Prague and teach English as a profession. All ESAC teachers are first-hand experts in language instruction and are dedicated to making the course both informative and fun.The advanced and Business English classes run from 10:00-12:00 and 1:00-2:00 followed by visits to businesses in the afternoon. The direct instruction is therefore approximately 5 hours a day. In the evenings and on weekends, students can participate in a wide variety of English language cultural events including day trips to local castles and villages, shopping trips, dinner events boat rides and hiking excursions.

* Accommodation - Housing for this term is located in the residential neighborhood of Holesovice, in a recently renovated early 20th Century building, close to public transportation. Travel time from the dorms to the classroom is about 20 minutes using public transportation. There is a large park across the street and numerous restaurants and pubs nearby. There is the possibility of Internet access. More info. * Meal plan - Breakfast and lunches are provided Mon - Fri at the University. Several group dinners and picnics are also included. * Tuition (classes + seminars) - all classes, seminars, guest speakers and site visits are covered. * Ground transportation - students will be given "Prague Public Transport Ticket" for entire stay. This way students can explore and enjoy the city to the fullest extent. * Transport pick-up from airport - if you arrive on Sunday July 5, 2009 we will meet you at the Prague Airport and transport you safely to your room. * Amazing race - An overnight stay in a medieval village in Bohemia is also included. Students will stay in a hotel overlooking the panorama of this historical village. Students will be divided into teams and given the name of a hotel in this village. The teams must follow the clues to find this city and the hotel and will compete against each other to arrive first in the town. Students must then follow more clues from their hotel to locate their advisors and the winning team receives a prize! * Site visits to businesses - Hewlett Packard, Microsoft, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Deloitte, KAP Environmental Firm, Herald Brewery, Ernst & Young, and more. * Guided tours of the cities - our experienced local staff will show you around all cities we will visit. * Cultural events - Weekend trips include castle and church visits, picnics, wine tasting, and film nights. * Networking opportunities - you will meet many influential domestic and international business contacts. * and FUN!!! Make new friends and have an amazing summer! * Optional excursion to Berlin - There will be a four-day excursion to Berlin, Germany. This trip will include transportation to Berlin, overnight accommodation with breakfast, local public transportation pass, guided city tour, visit to the German Foreign Ministry and group dinner in traditional German restaurant. The cost of this optional trip is US$500.
