The College Saint-Charles-Garnier in Quebec City, Canada
Canada
Durations of Program: 3-6 months, 7-12 months and 1-2 years
Description:
The College Saint-Charles-Garnier, located in Quebec City, Canada, is a private co-educational secondary school. Founded by the Jesuits in 1635, it is the oldest teaching establishment in North America. Our educational project and the vast array of services we provide reflect our vision, which is resolutely forward-looking and open to the world while drawing on deeply rooted values. College Saint-Charles-Garnier offers different programs in French immersion in Quebec City (one-year or six month immersion in our high-school, summer French-language program and customized immersion programs for school groups) and one summer English-language program in Victoria, British Columbia.
Highlights:
The school of choice of many students from outside Canada (Mexico, United States, Germany, Australia), the College strives to educate young people between the ages of 12 and 17 based on humanitarian values and respect for cultural differences. The world according to Garnier! is much more than a secondary-school learning experience in Frenchits an opportunity to grow and flourish through interaction with others. International students live with host families who are carefully selected by those in charge of the program. The family's moral values, their leisure activities, and home lifestyle and relationships are just some of the criteria considered. Classes in French as a second language are offered during the school year, in addition to regular curriculum subjects.
