Description:
All students are strongly encouraged to improve their German as it is the native language of Austria. If you are interested in a German language course, please inform the International Office at CUAS. Also indicate your previous knowledge of this language. Exchange students can receive ECTS points for attending the German language course. Note: if you are a regular international student, German is included in your Curriculum and you do not have to sign up for this. Highlights:
CUAS offers a unique full-time German language preparation course to make students fit to study at any of the Bachelor/Master programs at CUAS which are offered in German. Furthermore, this is an excellent chance for all students from abroad to improve their German language skills efficiently and to help integration into local society. Beginners start their language training in the fall semester of each year and can fully focus on acquiring the necessary German skills to prepare for their respective Bachelor/Master program at CUAS successfully. Students with prior German knowledge can join the German program later in the year. Each applicant will be given a short level evaluation (orally and written) before it is determined when they would have to join the program. All participants will also receive a certificate and a diploma that proves their language competence and also serves as one possible pre-requisite for non-native German speakers to join a program at CUAS offered in German. * Winter Semester: Module 1: Oct. - Nov. A0 A1 CEF (Beginners1) Module 2: Dec. - Feb. A1 A2 (Beginners 1) * Spring Semester: Module 3: March - May A2 - B1 (Intermediate 1) Module 4: May - July B1 - B2 (Intermediate 2) Each module comprises 150 units of face-to-face teaching and costs 1150.- Euro per participant. (inclusive of course materials, level-tests, exclusive of examination fees) Lessons will take place from Mondays Fridays (4 units each day). The program is headed by Dr. Oswald Jochum and organized by the FH in cooperation with Globeskills Academy for Business and Languages. Additionally, social events are offered in conjunction with the international office and events of the different Schools of CUAS. A lot of them are free of charge.
