Study French in Montpellier
France
Description:
This French language immersion program is located in the beautiful, university town of Montpellier, in Southern France. Thanks to its countless historical treasures, the city is officially called a 'Ville d'Art'. Street musicians and artists, as well as a variety of famous festivals, contribute to its cultural life. The warm, Mediterranean atmosphere is reflected in the day-to-day life of the town. Montpellier opens like an amphitheater towards the Mediterranean with its long, sandy beaches and étangs (lagoons) with huge colonies of wild pink flamingos. The school itself is situated in one of the most attractive areas of Montpellier's historic center, on a pedestrian street with many small boutiques, bakeries and tea rooms. It is also located right across from the beautiful Chamber of Commerce building. We offer a variety of programs in Montpellier: Standard French which consists of 20 group lessons per week and includes topics like vocabulary assimilation and enrichment, grammar and sentence structure, oral and written expression exercises and French culture and civilization; Intensive French which consists of 30 group lessons per week and adds intensive oral expression; Combined Classes which consists of 20 group lessons plus 5 hours of private lessons; Business French which consists of 20 lessons of general French and 10 lessons of business French per week and is designed to familiarize students with corporate and economic French.
Highlights:
Students can choose between living with a host family or in a residence hall. The host family option includes an individual room and half-board (2 meals a day). We take enormous care in selecting the host family that is best for the student and all of our families are carefully selected and screened. The residence hall option includes an individual room, but no meals. The residences are designed for students who wish to have a maximum amount of independence and meet other students of all nationalities. Students have their own small studio with a private kitchen and bathroom, but meals are not included at all in this option. The school proposes a variety of activities each week during the afternoons, evenings and weekends. For example, there are tours of the old city, visits to the underground museum, wine and cheese tastings, visits to the planetarium, a restaurant evening, excursions to Arles, Nîmes and Avignon, and much more.

Easy Languages's Mission Statement: In this steadily shrinking world where studies and employment are taking an increasingly international tilt, active knowledge of foreign languages is becoming an indispensable skill for students, business people, and even tourists. These skills, however, are extremely difficult to acquire at home. A stay among native speakers of the target languages not only facilitates the learning process, but most experts agree that it is essential to becoming a truly fluent speaker.
With over 15 years of experience in organizing journeys abroad to study languages, we here at Easy Languages offer a range of courses for every age group, time line and budget. Our students participate in everything from week long holiday trips to England to year long exchanges in Costa Rica.
As opposed to the majority of organizations offering services similar to ours, we do not charge any administrative price supplements. There are no hidden costs in any of our programs. All of our prices are clearly displayed in one convenient, readable table directly on the summary page of each program. We are a company that values honesty and believes that full disclosure is part of that commitment.
