Description:
This Mandarin language immersion program can take place either in Beijing or Shanghai. Our partner schools in both Beijing and Shanghai have been teaching Mandarin to foreigners for many years. The staff consists of experienced, university-qualified teachers. The schools are both located near the major commercial centers of their city and are both very well connected by public transportation. The schools possess all the modern facilities necessary to aid in foreign language learning, including computers with free Internet access and multimedia centers. We offer the same programs in both cities. Students will receive a placement test on their first day and will receive a certificate of training upon passing their final exams. The program is composed of 20 or 30 lessons of 50 minutes per week. The classes are small, with an average of 8 students per class, and focus on conversational training as well as reading, writing, listening comprehension.
Highlights:
The school also offers cultural activities: * Beijing: Visits to the Great Wall, the Peking Opera, Tienanmen square or the Forbidden City, Chinese martial arts classes, culinary excursions ... * Shanghai: Boat tours of the Huangpu river, Chinese calligraphy classes, an evening in the world's highest bar in the Jinmao tower, a trip on the ultra-fast Maglev train... We offer three types of acommodation: * Shared Rooms in International Apartments: The apartments are located near public transportation and are all within 20 to 40 minutes of the school. Each apartment has multiple rooms. They are fully furnished and equipped with a kitchen, television, telephone and internet access. Students come from a variety of nationalities. * Individual Apartments: These apartments are very similar to our shared apartments, except that the student has a room to him or herself. There is weekly room cleaning provided. * Host Family: Host families are ideal for students who wish to immerse themselves in Chinese culture and the Mandarin language. This option includes half-board (breakfast and evening meals). Host families are generally situated within 40 minutes of the school.

Easy Languages's Mission Statement: In this steadily shrinking world where studies and employment are taking an increasingly international tilt, active knowledge of foreign languages is becoming an indispensable skill for students, business people, and even tourists. These skills, however, are extremely difficult to acquire at home. A stay among native speakers of the target languages not only facilitates the learning process, but most experts agree that it is essential to becoming a truly fluent speaker.
With over 15 years of experience in organizing journeys abroad to study languages, we here at Easy Languages offer a range of courses for every age group, time line and budget. Our students participate in everything from week long holiday trips to England to year long exchanges in Costa Rica.
As opposed to the majority of organizations offering services similar to ours, we do not charge any administrative price supplements. There are no hidden costs in any of our programs. All of our prices are clearly displayed in one convenient, readable table directly on the summary page of each program. We are a company that values honesty and believes that full disclosure is part of that commitment.
