Study Italian in Florence

  Italy
  • Florence:
  • Florence

Description: This Italian language immersion program takes place in Florence, the capital of the beautiful region of Tuscany. Florence offers visitors centuries of art and history and many picturesque streets, squares and churches which blend into a harmonious picture of the medieval era and the Renaissance. Its rich artistic history, varied current events and the beautiful surrounding countryside make Florence one of the world's most attractive cities.

The school is located in the historic center, in a calm street near the central train station. It occupies three stories of a 19th century building and all classrooms are well-equipped with audio-visual material. The General Italian Course option includes 20 lessons per week (4 lessons of 50 minutes per day) either in the morning or the afternoon. The Intensive Group + Individual Course option consists of 30 lessons per week; 4 lessons per day of group classes and 2 lessons per day of private lessons that are tailored to a student's desires and weaknesses. The General Courses + Optional Cooking or Art Classes program combines language learning with lessons in the domain where Italy excels: art and cooking. This option requires a certain prior knowledge of Italian because the cooking and art classes are in Italian. Students should be able to understand and be able to communicate basic concepts from daily life.

Study Italian in Florence

Highlights: The school organizes a daily activity program for participants. Students have the ability to broaden their knowledge of Italian culture, visit famous cities and towns or simply amuse themselves with their friends. The school's teachers accompany the excursions, which are designed to help students better their Italian and their knowledge of Italian culture and traditions. The school posts an activity list in its entrance hall each day

Upon request, we can organize accommodation in Florence according to your needs, maximum 20 minutes from the school:

* Host Families: Host families are the ideal method to allow students to fully integrate into daily Italian life. Our host families propose a variety of possibilities: private or shared rooms, half-board (2 meals a day) or, in certain cases, a kitchen for the students.
* Shared Apartments: This option is offered for students who wish a greater degree of independence. The apartments are shared with other students and meals are not included in this option. Students may choose either a private or shared room in a furnished apartment of 3 rooms or more. The apartments are equipped with bathroom and kitchen shared with the other tenants. Sheets and towels are provided.
* Individual Apartments: This option is best for students who wish to remain totally independent and live in privacy. We offer studios or small apartments for one or two people. They are fully furnished, including kitchen. Sheets and towels are provided and the apartments are generally located in the city center.
* Hotel Apartments: We offer a selection of suites in 3 star hotels for 1 or 2 people with private bathroom, equipped kitchen, telephone, and television. The hotels are generally in the city center.

Easy Languages's Mission Statement: In this steadily shrinking world where studies and employment are taking an increasingly international tilt, active knowledge of foreign languages is becoming an indispensable skill for students, business people, and even tourists. These skills, however, are extremely difficult to acquire at home. A stay among native speakers of the target languages not only facilitates the learning process, but most experts agree that it is essential to becoming a truly fluent speaker. With over 15 years of experience in organizing journeys abroad to study languages, we here at Easy Languages offer a range of courses for every age group, time line and budget. Our students participate in everything from week long holiday trips to England to year long exchanges in Costa Rica. As opposed to the majority of organizations offering services similar to ours, we do not charge any administrative price supplements. There are no hidden costs in any of our programs. All of our prices are clearly displayed in one convenient, readable table directly on the summary page of each program. We are a company that values honesty and believes that full disclosure is part of that commitment.
