Study Italian in Milan
Italy
Description:
This Italian language immersion program takes place in Milan, the Italian fashion capital. Milan is a city with character exemplified by its broad, tree-lined boulevards and unique architecture. With close to 2 million inhabitants, Milan is not only Italy's financial and economic capital, but also the home of Scala, fashion, design and technology. Milan is also a young and dynamic city, perfect for students. Our school is ideally situated in the center of the city on and in the commercial district Corso Buenos Aires, it is a charming and pleasant location to learn Italian. Its international student body is comprised of over 50 nationalities and the majority of students are interested in design, fashion, music or business. We offer 4 programs at our school: * General Italian Courses which consist of 20 lessons per week and cover all aspects of the language, with emphasis placed on the development of oral and written capabilities. The classes have two different teachers on different days in order to ensure the diversity of course material. Classes are carried out completely in Italian (with no translation) to allow students to rapidly develop communication skills. * Intensive Courses (Group + Individual) consist of 30 lessons per week made up of 4 group lessons and 2 individual lessons, in order to target students' weaknesses and specific interests. * Semi-Intensive Courses consist of 10 lessons per week and students may choose either grammar or conversation lessons. * Business Italian: This program is offered during afternoons in combination with General Italian courses in the morning. The curriculum includes technical and commercial vocabulary, useful business expressions and composition of corporate correspondence.
Highlights:
The school organizes a daily activity program for participants. Students have the ability to broaden their knowledge of Italian culture, visit famous cities and towns or simply amuse themselves with their friends. The school's teachers accompany the excursions, which are designed to help students better their Italian and their knowledge of Italian culture and traditions. A historian specializing in art leads guided tours through the city's world famous museums, historical locations and cultural monuments. Visits are organized to other Italian cities or places particularly known for their beauty. Students can visit the Museum de La Scala, Lake Garda, or Milan's center. Students can also participate in sports, dine out or visit Milan's many night clubs. Accommodation options: *Host Families: Host families are the ideal method to allow students to fully integrate into daily Italian life. Our host families propose a variety of possibilities: private or shared rooms, half-board (2 meals a day) or, in certain cases, a kitchen for the students. *Shared Apartments: This option is offered for students who wish a greater degree of independence. The apartments are shared with other students and meals are not included in this option. Students may choose either a private or shared room in a furnished apartment of 3 rooms or more. The apartments are equipped with bathroom and kitchen shared with the other tenants. Sheets and towels are provided. * Individual Apartments: This option is best for students who wish to remain totally independent and live in privacy. We offer studios or small apartments for one or two people. They are fully furnished, including kitchen. Sheets and towels are provided and the apartments are generally located in the city center. * Hotel Apartments: We offer a selection of suites in 3 star hotels for 1 or 2 people with private bathroom, equipped kitchen, telephone, and television. The hotels are generally in the city center.

Easy Languages's Mission Statement: In this steadily shrinking world where studies and employment are taking an increasingly international tilt, active knowledge of foreign languages is becoming an indispensable skill for students, business people, and even tourists. These skills, however, are extremely difficult to acquire at home. A stay among native speakers of the target languages not only facilitates the learning process, but most experts agree that it is essential to becoming a truly fluent speaker.
With over 15 years of experience in organizing journeys abroad to study languages, we here at Easy Languages offer a range of courses for every age group, time line and budget. Our students participate in everything from week long holiday trips to England to year long exchanges in Costa Rica.
As opposed to the majority of organizations offering services similar to ours, we do not charge any administrative price supplements. There are no hidden costs in any of our programs. All of our prices are clearly displayed in one convenient, readable table directly on the summary page of each program. We are a company that values honesty and believes that full disclosure is part of that commitment.
