Location: St Petersburg or Moscow - Russia
Language of Instruction: Russian
Academic Credit Available: Yes

Overview
With this Russian language immersion program you have the choice between our two schools, one in Moscow and one in St Petersburg. Our institutions provide the best Russian instruction available. We regularly host graduate students from top level European universities such as Oxford, Sorbonne, Genoa and also employees from the world's most successful firms and corporations such as Lufthansa and Siemens.

Our Center in St. Petersburg is located only minutes from the Nevskiy Prospect, the city's main street. Our school facilities in include fifteen classrooms, a library with a large choice of Russian newspapers and a fine cafeteria (with freshly prepared hot and cold meals). The school is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week, provides PC workstations and offers full, free Internet access to all its students. Bars, restaurants and many theaters are within walking distance.

The Premises of our Moscow School are on the ground floor of a building that belongs to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Most of the office space there is used by foreign diplomats and accredited correspondents of the international press. The closest metro station can be reached by foot in less than five minutes. Cafés, restaurants and shops are within easy reach.

- The Standard Group course program consists of 20 lessons per week. The small group size combined with a sizable amount of homework is intended to make an impact on your language capabilities right from the beginning. The feeling of success will help to maintain a high level of motivation, which is essential for the necessary discipline. Instructors use a mixture of teaching techniques such as dialogs, role-plays, and language games. We ask that students have a light knowledge of the Cyrillic alphabet upon arrival.

Common lectures in addition to the 20 weekly lessons of proper language instruction will be held once a week covering a number of interesting subjects including the following: The History of St.Petersburg, Literature of Russian classics, Russian Economy, the Mass Media, Current Politics etc.

- The Intensive Group course program is an add-on of 5 lessons supplementing the Standard Group Course program, however, students on this program must be at the intermediate level. These mini-groups are organized as 2 weekly afternoon sessions and during these lessons, students are introduced to subjects of general interest, such as Russian for Business, Russian Mass Media Today, Russian Culture, History and Literature.

- Our Specialized Courses guarantee rapid progress, but require a certain level of personal investment. These courses are targeted primarily at the corporate sector: executives, government officials, professionals, interpreters and future Russia/CIS representatives. An analysis of participants' goals permits the instructor to adapt the lesson plan to the needs of the student.
Specialized courses are offered at different levels of intensity: leisure (15 lessons per week), standard (20 lessons per week), intensive (30 lessons per week), or crash course (40 lessons per week).

Our center combines intensive studies with a wide range of excursions and other cultural and social activities. These activities are offered year-round and are intended to give our students an opportunity to acquaint themselves with the magnificent cities of St.Petersburg or Moscow and the Russian way of life. Some activities are free, such as the city tour for new students and our Friday cocktail, and others are available at reasonable rates.
Activities include sightseeing within St Petersburg and Moscow and in famous city suburbs, such as Pushkin and Peterhof. There are also weekend trips to the ancient Russian cities of Pskov and Novgorod.

Highlights: After-school activities are also for students (walking city tours, sports, museums and theater visits, and discos).

The school organizes accommodation in host families, and well-equipped residence halls. Our host families are not always the traditional married couple with children. Above all we look for people who are sociable, like to meet new people and can give a warm welcome to our students. Our host families will take the time to talk to our students,; they are patient, understanding, careful and prepared to provide help with any problem that may arise during a student's stay in Russia.

The Language Center has approved all accommodation offered. Families and their homes are personally known to the staff member responsible at the school. Families are inspected at least once a year. The quality of the families is monitored by questionnaires (entry and exit) given to students. A student's room is furnished with at least one bed or sofa-bed, wardrobe, desk with chair, light and a mirror (in a wardrobe or a separate one). The rooms are clean and spacious, by Russian standards. Bathroom and kitchen are shared with the family. Breakfast and dinner are always included. Maximum travel time to the school is 50 minutes; average travel time is 40 minutes. About half of our families live in the center, the other half in modern suburban areas of St.Petersburg or Moscow.

Easy Languages's Mission Statement: In this steadily shrinking world where studies and employment are taking an increasingly international tilt, active knowledge of foreign languages is becoming an indispensable skill for students, business people, and even tourists. These skills, however, are extremely difficult to acquire at home. A stay among native speakers of the target languages not only facilitates the learning process, but most experts agree that it is essential to becoming a truly fluent speaker. With over 15 years of experience in organizing journeys abroad to study languages, we here at Easy Languages offer a range of courses for every age group, time line and budget. Our students participate in everything from week long holiday trips to England to year long exchanges in Costa Rica. As opposed to the majority of organizations offering services similar to ours, we do not charge any administrative price supplements. There are no hidden costs in any of our programs. All of our prices are clearly displayed in one convenient, readable table directly on the summary page of each program. We are a company that values honesty and believes that full disclosure is part of that commitment.
