Description: Course Content:

Students will have 20 hours of German language instruction each week over a period of three weeks. All students will be required to participate in a placement test to determine their level of knowledge.

Course Scope:

German language courses will be taught on two levels, depending on the students' previous knowledge. Exchange students from partner universities who stay for the winter term 2009/10 can continue with the German language course for exchange students in September 2010.

While following an intensive academic program offered by the university's institutes, participants will experience German culture hands-on through an extensive leisure time program. German culture, excursions to companies and cities nearby, sport events, get-togethers with international master students who have graduated in Aachen, cultural events, workshops in intercultural communication and a lot more enjoy your stay!

All of our five different Summer School courses are uniquely designed for international undergraduate students who want to get to know Aachen and RWTH Aachen University first-hand - maybe even to decide to commence their master studies here. The program is also recommended for students who think about going to Aachen as an exchange student during their studies, but would like to get to know the city and university beforehand. Master students and graduates are welcome.
