Description:
ntensive Spanish for Educators is specifically designed to give teachers, principals, social workers, counselors and other personnel working in a school or district, the ability to better communicate with Latino students and their families in Spanish. Focus is put, not only on the language aspect, but upon creating a better cultural understanding of Latino students and their families living in the United States. In addition to learning academic Spanish, educators will learn popular expressions used by their students and families. Opportunities to visit schools in rural and urban settings will also be included in the experience.
Highlights:
Educators can visit schools, meet teachers, unions, field trips during the weekends including Lake Atitlan, IRTRa, Antigua, Guatemala. 100 CEUS or 16 college credit in Spanish
