Description: General French : 20 hours (semi-intensive) or 30 hours (intensive) a week. Maximum 6 persons in a group. The emphasis is on active learning techniques. Because most of our clients have a professional background or professional objectives, Media Langues Guadeloupe focuses on French grammar as well as useful, day-to-day verbal skills. All levels of students participate in interactive workshops where they learn and practice their new french language abilities. Upon enrollment,students are preevaluated for placement in appropriate level workshops. Students specify their individual learning needs and the type of French language difficulties they encounter on a routine, daily basis. This information allows us to design each course to meet the each students's unique learning needs. In the semi-intensive course, at least one workshop per week is dedicated to each student's personal French language problems. In the intensive, or one-to-one course, the amount of time dedicated to each student's objectives is increased. Global workshops usually focus on local Guadeloupe topics. Students learn about a wide variety of political, cultural and economic issues in order to better understand life in the French West indies while enhancing their french language skills.
